LONG before we took over the RED COTTAGE, it had been a garage, a boat-building shop, a seasonal restaurant, and a variety store. When we moved in (1981), business was a combination counter service and small grocery store, still selling penny candy.

I first had the Red Cottage's chowder a few years ago, and I was hooked. It's the best! I know they have great breakfast, but here's a vote for their chowder.
