Nominated for: BEST Art Gallery
The Packard Gallery represents works by Anne Packard, Cynthia Packard and Leslie Packard - three generations of artists.
Max Bohm began this line of successful painters. Born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1868, he left high school to attend the Cleveland School of Art. Success came early and he was a self-supporting artist by the time he was 19.
Bohm married Zella Newcomb and they raised their 3 children in London. His daughter, Esther followed in her father's career footsteps. Esther's daughter, Anne, carried on the tradition.
Today, Anne Packard and her daughters, Cynthia and Leslie, have established The Packard Gallery in Provincetown. The gallery is located in the beautiful and historic East End building that was once the Christian Science Church.
